For Clinicians
Training
Our training equips clinicians with the skills to set up, customize, and implement AAC systems tailored to individual client needs. It includes modifying device layout and vocabulary, integrating AAC into daily routines, and supporting functional communication. Emphasis is placed on interdisciplinary collaboration and consistent implementation across settings.
Clinicians also learn to collect and use data to track progress and make informed adjustments over time.
Evaluation
Committed Actions works with you to evaluate your client’s needs. The evaluation involves systematic observation and guided interaction to evaluate the client’s communication capabilities and preferences. Clinicians will be guided to implement a range of strategies to assess responsiveness, engagement, and motivation across different modalities.
The primary objective of the assessment is to identify the most effective and efficient means for the client to achieve rapid, autonomous communication. Findings will inform clinical decision-making regarding intervention planning, AAC selection, and functional communication outcomes, ensuring that supports are individualized and evidence-based.
